Pellos dear, prepositions can end sentences by English grammar rules.
The first people to be irritated by that practice were people who wanted English to be more like Latin. They put up such a fuss that people started avoiding the practice just to keep from stirring up their Latin-obsessed nerves.
Magic how I like it, if done well, should be a science. It doesn't have to /feel/ sciency, but the rules need to be there, and it should be plausible to have "magic studies" as a college degree. There should be people in the world that have that degree, if colleges exist in the setting. I have a character who is a professor of magic anthropology -- the study of how magic and people's relation with it shaped the course of history. Other combination studies, like magical healing/medicine, portal dynamics, channeler law, and summons contract should be viable as well. It really opens up a whole new world of possibilities and general applications.
Does the binding not care for situational irony? It feels like discussing the results of any !!SCIENCE!!, or how knowledge of it relates to the world around you would cause the Binding to change how it operates, at least for a moment.

Now, I'm not at all saying that everybody makes this mistake. But it bugs me when magic and legends aren't subjected to visible scientific inquiry.

Scientific inquiry is what mages do.
... are supposed to do.
