Generally a soul is affected by belief and memories more than anything else. So a ghost believes that the floor supports them so it does. However, as one of them is always displaced, it makes sense that at first they could not control it until they had a slightly more solid belief in the ground. Other things, those that have always been incorporeal have no excuse.
The only incorpeal character who has an explanation for that is Rimmer from Red Dwarf!
I'm just going to assume that Aiden's Sire is Bertie Wooster.
And look at that ace plaid hair!

Bit of a brush-up on how the girls' whole incorporeal situation works. I don't plan to get too far into it, because that's sci-fi territory.
But it did always bug me when people who could move through objects and walls never fell through the floor. What makes a floor different?

You know, I've always thought that too! "So, where am I - OH SHIZ I'M FALLING THOUGH THE FLOOR!!!" XD

That shit happened all the time in the first season of Danny Phantom when he first got his ghost powers.

I think the late Paul Enfield should have taken them here much much sooner. Kidnapping them if necessary.

Not to offend, but I think I see a typo...
"Susan and I really one have one body."
